Phillips appears prominently throughout the second season of Netflix’s Tiger King, representing Joe Exotic in his pursuit of a new trial. His work on the case drew massive public attention and continued through subsequent legal proceedings.

The Armor of Light (2015)
Phillips and his family were featured in “The Armor of Light,” an Abigail Disney documentary examining gun violence in America. The film follows Reverend Rob Schenck and Lucy McBath — the mother of Jordan Davis, whom Phillips represented — as they question whether one can be pro-gun and pro-life. The film was shortlisted for Academy Award consideration in 2016 and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
